Too often "knowledge" has followed the traditional mode of transmission which perhaps worked fine for those who have been privy to how the educational system works, or have always received assistance within their own outside networks. Nevertheless, it is difficult to argue that these passive transmissive forms of learning are not ideal with regard to promoting the cognitive and affective domains. Although technology is not always the solution, it offers interesting possibilities and alternatives if human users are open to using them.
